Service within Syncore

The Service department is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and optimizing automated intralogistics and warehouse automation systems across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other European countries.

The department plays a key role in ensuring the continuity, reliability, and performance of customer installations. Our service activities cover a wide range of technologies, including AutoStore systems, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), pallet shuttle systems, conveyors, lifts, and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS). By providing preventive maintenance, corrective interventions, technical support, and system improvements, the Service Operations team helps customers maximize system availability and operational efficiency.

As a Service Technician, you are responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AutoStore systems. You perform both preventive and corrective maintenance activities and support customers in resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.

You are a hands-on technical professional who enjoys working in dynamic environments and is willing to travel to customer sites. You work independently, take ownership of technical challenges, and have a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You naturally think in practical solutions, demonstrate flexibility, and are committed to delivering excellent service.

In this role, you will report to the Manager Service North. Your base location will be our office in Hamburg or Schwerte, with regular travel to customer sites throughout Europe.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Repair, maintenance, and servicing of our customers’ AutoStore systems;
  • Replacement, adjustment, and commissioning of spare and wear parts;
  • Independent execution of maintenance assignments, including documentation;
  • Analysis and resolution of technical faults and malfunctions;
  • On-site technical support for our customers, in close coordination with the internal service team.

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training with a focus on electrical engineering or mechanics;
  • Good command of German and basic English skills;
  • Independent, structured, and reliable way of working;
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site;
  • Class B driving license.
