Solution Engineering within Syncore
The Solution Engineering department develops customized solutions for automated logistics systems. In doing so, customer requirements are translated into coherent concepts, expected costs are determined, and the involved departments are coordinated through to proposal readiness. We deliver our projects in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, and other European countries.
As a Solution Engineer Retrofit, you connect customer requirements, solution development, and sales. You develop concepts for modernizing and further enhancing existing automated logistics systems and support them from the initial need through to the right proposal.
In this role, you are in direct contact with our customers, coordinate the necessary internal alignments, and bring together all relevant information into a coherent and economically suitable overall solution.
In this position, you report directly to the Head of Sales Retrofit Solutions. The position is hybrid, with our office in Offenau as the primary work location.
As your role develops, you can take on increasing responsibility for customers and projects and progress towards Account Management.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- You analyze existing automated logistics systems and develop suitable solution concepts from them. In doing so, you take into account electrical engineering, automation, drive technology, software, system architectures and the associated interfaces;
- You familiarize yourself with existing control systems and software architectures, understand how they interact and assess their impact on the overall solution;
- You conduct site surveys at the customer’s premises, clarify requirements and interfaces, and prepare the information gathered for further project planning;
- You coordinate the necessary alignments within Syncore and work closely with the teams in Germany, the Netherlands and Poland;
- You develop offers, evaluate different options together with Sales from a commercial perspective, and deal with pricing, offer structure and profitability;
- You prepare the developed concepts for customer meetings and present them together with Sales.
Your profile

- A completed degree, for example in industrial engineering, business administration/economics, electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, technical computer science or a comparable field;
