Project Management within Syncore
The Operations department is responsible for the complete execution of multiple logistics projects both in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, as well as in other European countries.
As Project Manager within Syncore, you are commercially, technically, financially and administratively responsible for one or more projects simultaneously. Together with your multidisciplinary project team, you lead a project from engineering and the on-site installation and commissioning phase towards a successful delivery to the customer. You work independently, but always keeping a close eye on the teams you are working with. You naturally think in solutions, dare to make decisions and take responsibility.
In the role of Project Manager, you will report to the Head of Projects, who is overall responsible for all projects within the division. Your base location will be our office in Duiven.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- To successfully guide the entire project through the phases from kick-off to engineering, execution, testing, delivery and handover to service;
- Responsible for Contract Management; Ensuring scope is being delivered while managing the project’s budget with the aim of looking for opportunities for improving results;
- Managing project planning, ensuring that key dates and milestones are met and progress of activities is always secured;
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks over the course of the projects;
- Organizing, managing and continuously motivating multidisciplinary project teams;
- Coordinate with the various disciplines and stakeholders involved in providing the resources and materials, ensuring optimal communication between all involved;
- Organizing on-site support for key people within the project, such as Site Supervisor, Suppliers and the Commissioning Engineers;
- Customer focused by creating understanding and responding to customer needs and expectations and building trust in the process;
- Focusing on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) within his/hers projects ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Personal qualities and competences
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record;
- Self-starting and independent attitude;
- A technical background is preferred;
- Willingness to travel regularly to the various customer sites;
- Experienced in working with Microsoft Office applications and other project management tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Teams;
- Being able to switch professional behavior based on the situation at hand;
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
- Good commercial view;
- Able to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders;
- Proactively contributes to improving the organization in all areas of the operation;
- Able to be present in the office in Duiven various days per week on an average basis.
Your profile
- An HBO work and thinking level, preferably in the field of (mechanical) construction or electrical engineering;
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in Project Management for system solutions, preferably in the field of intralogistics automation or adjacent technologies such as conveying, material handling and/or storage systems;
- Good command of the Dutch, English and, preferably, German languages;
- You are self-starting and a team lead, you are initiating, knowing how to give directions, motivate and support others;
- A communicatively/politically skilled and customer-oriented colleague, even in situations of high workload, you keep your head cool and continuously make the right choice between organization and customer interests;
- Finally, you are flexible, honest, open and a pragmatic doer.
