Syncore is a top provider of automated, integrated logistics solutions ranging from robust, automated bins and pallet storage to fully automated goods-to-person systems using i.e. advanced AutoStore (robots), Geek+ (AMR) and Movu Atlas pallet-shuttle technology. IT within Syncore

The Syncore IT environment includes networking, hardware (servers/laptops/telephones), software, applications, and IT security. To assist in strategic development, communications and processes and subsequently facilitate the organization, this position is created within Syncore. The IT department currently consists of a small team of three IT colleagues who work closely together at the office locations in Offenau, Germany and in Duiven, The Netherlands. Due to growing IT demands, we are looking to expand the department.

In the role of IT Specialist & Product IT, you will report to the Manager IT, who is overall responsible for the Syncore IT department. Your base location will be our office in Offenau, Germany.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Internal IT
  • Administration and further development of the network and server infrastructure;
  • Support of end-users with IT related issues in German and English;
  • Configuration and management of firewalls (WatchGuard, ESET Endpoint Security), VPNs and security policies;
  • Administration of Microsoft Windows clients and servers (User and permissions management, troubleshooting);
  • Management, configuration and maintenance of virtualization solutions (VMware, containers, etc.);
  • Administration of Azure / Entra ID and cloud services (Modern Identity Management);
  • Linux administration with a focus on maintenance, automation and shell scripting;
  • Hardware, software and workstation setup;
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (preferably in markup language);
  • Analysis and resolution of complex network and system issues;
  • Ensuring high security standards and structured handling of sensitive systems.
External IT / Customer Support
  • Technical consulting and support for our customers;
  • Installation and integration of software solutions into existing customer infrastructures;
  • Performing support and troubleshooting – also under time pressure and observation;
  • Presentation of technical systems and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Planning and implementation of individual customer projects (focus on networking);
  • Creation and maintenance of clear and understandable customer documentation;
  • Training customers on releases, updates, APIs and workflows of sold systems;
  • Support with secure update and migration processes;
  • Analysis of requirements and development of tailored solutions.

Your profile

  • Completed education in IT (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or comparable qualification;
  • Good knowledge of networks, Windows/Linux systems and IT security;
  • Structured and solution-oriented working style;
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of customer interaction;
  • Very good German and English skills;
  • Interest in documentation, automation and modern IT technologies.
